No-Nik Fibre optic strippers

No-Nik Fibre optic strippers

Ref: HTDNOS

The most extensive line of strippers dedicated to fibre optics.

  • 100% Reliable
  • Mechanically strip buffer coating
  • Save time and money
  • Accurate to 5mm (0.0002)
  • No adjustments necessary

No-Nik Fibre Optic strippers meet the most stringent specifications. Used properly they are 100% reliable. Plastic heads, which make contact only with the buffer, centre and support your work on both sides. Cutting blades made from razor quality steel, score buffer completely. Back-up blades support the cutting blades, nest positively, and "lock up" when the tool is closed to maintain perfect concentricity. Buffer being removed, acts as guide and protection for the fibre.

  1. Plastic Heads: Make contact with the buffer centre and support the fibre on both sides of the cutting blades.
  2. Plastic Head Centering Device: Centres fibre perfectly enabling precise buffer scoring and removal.
  3. Back-up Blades: Support cutting blades in a sandwich; nest positively and "lock up" when the tool is closed to maintain perfect concentricity.
  4. Colour-Coded Cushion Grip Handles: Handles are colour coded by size of cutter holes for easy identification.
  5. Cutting Blades: Fabricated of finest razor blade steel, score buffer completely around the fibre. (Note that cutting blades should only score the buffer... NOT CUT COMPLETELY THROUGH IT exposing the fibre core-see cross section illustration immediately above).
  6. Cutting Blade Diameter Marking and Indicationg Arrow: Cutting blade diameter clearly marked on plastic head. Arrow idicates direction pressure should be applied when stripping.

Colour-Coded handles ensure proper tool selection, quickly and easily. Many fibres need no secondary cleaning. However, some primary cladings can leave residue on fibre and may require some chemical cleaning to insure pristine surface.
