Using the K2415, measurements can be made down to 0.1mA. To accurately measure these very low levels of current the transformer jaws are precisely constructed using superior materials. This allows accurate results even when electromagnetic disturbance is high, such as near cables or motors. Both models have a frequency filter with which can help determine the cause of earth leakage. In the 'wide' position the unit will measure high frequency leakage currents through capacitive circuits such as those found in data processing systems. In the '50/60Hz' position the unit will measure leakage currents arising from deterioration of insulation. Taking measurements in poorly lit environments is easy with the data hold facility featured on both models. Model K2413 is equipped with a pre-selectable peak hold facility which is suitable for detecting intermittent fluctuations.
